I’ve been limiting my beauty budget over the past few weeks since I got my dressing table and realised I already have way more than I’ll ever use. But I spotted the Essence stand in my local Wilkinsons and couldn’t resist picking up a few pieces. The brand’s bargain prices mean I can easily try new things without overspending!
All About Matt Fixing Powder (RRP £3)
I’m not a big lover of powder since I like a dewy finish but I do get quite oily skin so the price attracted me to this!
The False Lashes Mascara Dramatic Volume Unlimited (RRP £2.80)
This is the one of the two mascaras I’ve tried so far and I really like it, though the liquid formula can be messy and it does flake off a little throughout the day. The formula actually reminds me of the new Dior Diorshow Pump n Volume, which retails at £25.50, so it’s worth trying for the bargain price of £2.80!
The False Lashes Extreme Volume and Curl Mascara (RRP £2.80)
Another mascara purchase that I didn’t really need but I wasn’t sure which to try! I’ll probably wait a while before opening this one as I have a few in my collection to use up first.
Matt Matt Matt Lipgloss in Girl of Today 03 (RRP £2.30)
I’m always looking for a new liquid lipstick and this pinky shade is perfect for summer and perfect to add to my collection. It’s not as long lasting as I’d like but it does fade evenly and isn’t drying on the lips.
Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Say Hi Light 25 (RRP £1.50)
I’ve been wanting to try nude eyeliner for a while to help my eyes look more awake and I thought this cute £1.50 pencil was a good start. It’s the twist-up kind so there’s no hassle sharpening and it’s super easy to apply!
Overall, I’m impressed with Essence so far. Do you have any bargain brand recommendations?
