I’ve had this post in the works for ages now but it’s been harder than I thought selecting my favourite budget beauty buys. I love a bargain and I love reading other budget beauty blogs so I tried to feature products that don’t get enough love in the blogging community.
MUA Professional 6 Shade Palette Rusted Wonders (£3.50, Superdrug)
Despite being a bargain hunter, I am guilty of assuming you can’t get a decent eyeshadow palette for under a fiver. I picked this up with low expectations but it surprised me in its pigmentation and quality. Sure, some shades perform better than others but I find that with pricier palettes too. Well worth trying out!
L.A Girl Pro HD Conceal in porcelain (£3.95, justmylook.co.uk)
I wasn’t sure about the brush applicator at first but I do use my Real Techniques setting brush to blend my concealer anyway so it’s not too bad. I have this in the shade porcelain which is great for brightening my under eyes but the range of colours in this concealer is amazing.
Essence The False Lashes Mascara Dramatic Volume Unlimited (£2.80, Wilkinsons)
I could easily include most of the Essence range here but, since it’s rare to find a decent mascara for less than a fiver, I chose this. It took me a while to get used to the long brush and wet formula but getting it right with this budget mascara certainly pays off.
Freedom Duo Eyebrow Powder (£3, Superdrug)
It was a close call between this and the Rimmel Brow This Way Eyebrow Kit, which retails at the reasonable £3.99 but I feel like not enough people are talking about this Freedom brow product. It’s quick and easy to apply, lasts all day and the cute packaging even includes a little mirror.
Essence All About Matt Fixing Powder (£3, Wilkinsons)
As I said, this could easily have been a post dedicated to the super affordable Essence brand but I already did that in my Essence Cosmetics Haul. I know everyone loves the £3.99 Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and I do too but this is a good alternative to try out.
It was tough to leave out my fave Collection Velvet Kiss Liquid Lipsticks but I’m sure I’ve raved about them enough on my blog. They’re worth mentioning in this post though as you can pick them up for just £2.99!
What are your favourite bargain buys? x
I love that concealer it’s so good! And that palette is stunning! Great post, it’d mean a lot if you checked out my blog too x

I looove how high street makeup brands are really stepping it up recently! The price tag doesn’t necessarily mean quality anymore and I love it.
Deffo be trying out a few of these bad boys soon! Xo

You’re right, I have some pricier things that I think are worth it but high street brands are bringing out competitive products all the time!
