Super late with my unboxing of the December Look Incredible standard. Mostly, I’ve been busy with Christmas-related blogs but also this month’s box arrived a little later than usual. I was hoping that it was going to be worth the wait….
For anyone not familiar with Look Incredible, it’s a subscription service offering the standard box which costs £25 monthly or the deluxe box at £35. Personally, I’ve never tried the deluxe version but I always like to see what everyone got in their box.
On to the contents of the December standard box…
No. 7 Exception Definition Mascara
I love mascara so I’m not too disappointed to see this included, but we did get a mascara in last month’s box and I already have a ton to use up.
Sleek Gloss Me Trio
I received 2 of the Gloss Me Lipglosses and 1 Sleek Matte Me in the shade petal. I’m yet to hear anyone in the beauty blogger community say they’re a gloss fan and I’m certainly no exception. I haven’t tried the Matte Me formula yet (I have an unopened one somewhere that I bought ages ago…) but the shade Petal is a very pale pink that I already know won’t suit me so that’s quite disappointing as I don’t think I’ll get use from any of these.
BareMinerals Blush The Whisper
I’m personally not a big blush fan but I can appreciate why people would be happy to see this included. The shade is nice, it’s a cute compact packaging and, if you’re new to Look Incredible and haven’t already sampled bareminerals blushes, this one is a great choice.
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Duo
I’m not usually impressed with nail stuff since I only ever wear falsies but I’ve never tried a Sally Hansen product before. The pearly white shade looks nice but not something I’d wear on its own and the gel topcoat I have tried and I like it so quite happy with this set.
Flora.py Anti-Aging Mask
This wasn’t listed on the contents card so I’m not sure if I’m supposed to treat it as a bonus or what? Anyway, anti-aging isn’t my primary concern at the age of 27 but I love trying face masks so quite pleased to see this.
Overall, I’m really disappointed with this box. Maybe I was expecting something incredible to end the year with or maybe I just feel like it was missing a standout item this month.
What I have noticed is that the standard box is becoming more and more drugstore and includes fewer of the highend products I signed up for. I don’t know if this is to try and push people onto the pricier deluxe box but all I can do is hope that they redeem themselves for 2018 or I’ll be cancelling my subscription and trying something else!
