Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder Review

Today’s post is a review of the Charlotte Tilbury Airbush Flawless Finish Powder. I’ve been using this pressed powder for a while now- on and off with my Rimmel Stay Matte, which featured in my latest products I’m trying to use up post.

Whenever I buy something expensive, I feel like I have to make more of an effort to use it. I can already see a dint in the product, something I’d normally celebrate but then it does feel like I’m using it too quickly.

Anyway, on with the review!

Packaging

To me, this is one the most obvious things to talk about because look at it! I think that with many high-end products, the packaging is where your extra cash goes. The packaging of all CT products is gorgeous and this beautiful gold compact doesn’t disappoint.

The outer packaging is mirrored gold with the simple brand logo and inside, you get a mirror and the engraved Charlotte Tilbury lettering. It feels very sturdy and travel-proof and the only negative I can possibly think of is that it does tend to get covered in dirty fingerprints easily!

Price

Another obvious thing to say is that this beauty does not come cheap! It retails for £33 in the UK. For reference, you could get 8 Rimmel Stay Matte Powders for that and still have change left over!

Shades

I have the shade ‘fair’ which is the most translucent shade. I think this gives enough coverage for my light skin but there are only 3 shades in the range, with the others being ‘medium’ and ‘dark.’

Application

This applies flawlessly to the skin and feels really smooth and soft. I use it mainly to set under my eyes and around my nose and chin where I get oiliest or if I need extra spot coverage but it also does a good job of minimising pores.

Wear

The powder generally doesn’t look dry or cakey at the end of the day like some powders do, but on me it seems to oxidise, leaving orange patches on my face sometimes. It’s not noticeable under the eyes but can happen around my chin.

I wore this alongside the Rimmel alternative a couple of times just to compare and I felt like CT won overall in how it applied and looked.

Overall

I will continue to use this up but I wouldn’t repurchase this. I seem to be getting through the product really quickly, too!

Is it better than cheaper alternatives? I’d say yes, it is but is it worth £30 more than the Rimmel Stay Matte? No! If this was priced a bit more reasonably, somewhere around the £20 mark, I’d definitely consider repurchasing but until there’s a massive sale or pricing overhaul, I won’t be buying this again!
