I’m a bit disappointed that Look Incredible have changed their standard beauty box so it now comes every two months instead of ever month. I was hoping that this change would mean the boxes would contain more of the premium beauty products I signed up for rather than the filler items we were starting to see more of.
For those who don’t know, Look Incredible is a premium subscription box service offering both a standard £25 subscription, which is the one I have and a £35 deluxe box.
Living Proof Style Lab Prime Style Extender Spray (RRP £13)
I’m always intrigued to try new hair products, but I’m not sure this one will be for me. The description card says it’s formulated for fine hair, which I definitely do not have. It’s a shame as the only other haircare item I’ve had from Look Incredible was another Living Proof product designed for fine hair!
Tarte Glowlight Luminizing Wand (RRP £20)
Tarte products aren’t the easiest to get in the UK so I’m excited to give this a go. I’m not really a liquid illuminator person (is anyone?) but it has one of those brush-tip applicators and it’s a gorgeous sheeny pink colour so it might work.
Makeup Forever Aqua Liner shade Iridescent Navy Blue (RRP £20)
Another first for me is MUFE. I’m not a big liquid liner fan but this is a really pretty colour and I’ll definitely wear this, it’s just most liquid liners dry up before I get chance to use them!
Velvet 59 My Fair Lashes (RRP £9.99)
I’m not overly impressed with this. I’ve had a few mascaras in the box now and I usually love testing them out but this is just alright, in my opinion. I don’t know anything about the brand but the retail price is the same as a standard drugstore mascara, something which is featuring more and more.
Ciate Corrupted Neon Manicure set (RRP £9.99)
I’m not sure yet if I’ll keep this or if it will be one for the giveaway pile. I think it’s a cute set- it comes with a neon pink polish, matching glitter and a UV topcoat- but I only ever wear false nails and rarely do anything more adventurous than a coat or two of standard polish.
Overall, I feel like I had high expectations of this box and it just didn’t quite deliver. I think they’re doing more and more to push subscribers into signing up for the deluxe box but I just can’t see the benefits of that. One more disappointing box and I think I’ll be cancelling my subscription…
Which beauty box do you recommend?

I cancelled all of my subscriptions at the end of last year, but have definitely got Mintd on my radar for the next time I have the urge to subscribe! x

I think Ipsy has really upped their game recently. I used to sub Birchbox, but I was always disappointed.

Yeah I keep looking at Birchbox and feeling a bit underwhelmed. I don’t think we can get Ipsy in the UK sadly 😦

I tried the velvet 59 mascara and ended up throwing it away! xx

Yeah I think I will too! The brush is so weird and I just feel really meh about it. Hate throwing stuff away but life’s too short for a bad mascara!

My favorite is Boxycharm. I don’t like Birchbox because they just give you little baby samples. They tend to pile up in a corner for me.

Yeah I don’t want to end up with loads of unused stuff! Boxycharm looks great but pretty sure we can’t get it in the UK or not easily anyway 😓

Ugh, sorry love! That stinks that Boxycharm isn’t in the UK. 😐
