Summer Beauty Essentials

With the weather hotting up in the UK, it’s all about barbecues, ice cream and beer gardens as we enjoy the much-awaited sunshine. When it gets super hot, I’d rather be spending my time outside than sweating off a full face of makeup, so here are my beauty essentials ready for summer!

Suncream

This one goes without saying really but I still think it’s important to mention. If I’m wearing makeup, I tend to put this on my body and then make sure I’m using an SPF product on my face.

Facial spray

Facial sprays like my fave from Mario Badescu are great in warm weather to cool down my skin and as a refreshing skincare treat. I also use sprays to prime or set my makeup and sometimes even in my hair!

Bronzer

The sunshine may have arrived, but I’m still looking pale. I normally start using a gradual tanning product for my body at this time of year but I find bronzer really helps to add some warmth to my face. I had put my Rimmel Natural Bronzer away over the winter months as it’s darker than my everyday Body Shop bronzer but now is definitely the time to get it back out!

Bright lips

There’s no better time than summer to start rocking those bright shades, and I’m loving this Body Shop liquid lipstick in the shade Tahiti Hisbiscus. The formula isn’t the best I’ve ever tried but I do like matte liquid lipsticks in the summer and I just love this bright pink shade so much.
