I don’t do favourites every month but I seem to have discovered a lot of good products in August that I wanted to share with you all:
BH Cosmetics Eyelights in Gal Pal
I haven’t heard anyone talk about these but I stumbled across them on Beauty Bay and picked up this stunning orange-gold shade. I have a lot of liquid eyeshadow products open at the moment so I will probably hold back on getting the other shades for now but this is seriously stunning. If you’re looking for something like the Stila ones but in bright colours and a budget price of £7, this is for you!
edit: There was a discount code on Beauty Bay since I first wrote this so I did buy all the other shades…
Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer
I did mention this in my July Beauty Edit but my love for this is still going strong! The only downside is that it doesn’t last as long on my face as I’d like.
Revolution Pro Prime & Hydrate
Having not been too impressed with the Too Faced Hangover Primer, I feel like this does a similar thing but doesn’t make my makeup look weird at the end of the day. It has a similar coconut scent so if you don’t like that it may not be for you but I’m really into moisturising primers over the silicone type at the moment.
PS…Lustre Lipsticks
I love the formula of these 90p Primark lipsticks. Rosewood Mauve is one of my favourite shades of lipsticks ever but I have a few of these now that are all flattering colours. I love that they’re really creamy and not too pigmented for everyday looks.
Max Factor Radiant Lift Foundation
I didn’t think I was going to love this when I swatched it in store because it seemed very thick and just not the type of cover I go for. I’m glad I picked it up though because it’s honestly amazing at giving good coverage that still looks healthy and natural.
Wilko Body Souffle Watermelon & Guava
If you’re not from the UK or don’t know what Wilkinsons is, it’s basically a homeware store that sells everything from stationery to garden furniture. They have a decent health and beauty selection (they’re the only place that stocks Essence cosmetics here!) but they’re not the first place I’d think of for bath products. I really should check out more of their own brand stuff because I also loved their dry shampoo but anyway this souffle is great, sinks into the skin so much better than body butters, smells great and costs £1.50!
L’Oreal Chocolats Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick Tasty Ruby
I think the shade selection on these lipsticks is bizarre. I get that it’s the Chocolats range but do they need to be varying shades of brown? I do have this in one of the brown shades but this red is stunning. It’s probably the most stay-put lipstick I own, even better than the Stila ones at lasting through eating and drinking!
What products were you loving in August?
I’ve definitely been curious about the Max Factor foundation as I love the Face Finity one that they do. I may give this one a chance too! x

I’ve never tried their other foundations to be fair but I think they’re a really underrated brand! x
