Since cancelling my Look Incredible subscription box earlier in the year, I’ve been missing out on a beauty box treat. I know some people like the surprise but I personally like the idea of being able to see what you’re getting when you purchase a beauty box, and this one-off limited edition collaboration between Look Fantastic and Clinique offered me just that.
I mentioned this in my September haul post as something I picked up when I ordered with Look Fantastic but it really deserves its own post. The Clinique x Look Fantastic box retails for £35 but is currently out of stock at the time of writing.
The beauty box itself is pale pink with a cute droplet effect and simple logos from both brands. Inside, it’s just any beauty box wrapped up with pink tissue paper and including a little booklet describing the products.
So, what’s in the box?
Clinique Moisture Surge, 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator – Full Size
This is the 50ml full size which usually retails for £36, more than the cost of the box. I’ve had a mini of this before and loved it so I had been considering purchasing anyway.
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm – 15ml
Loads of people love this but I’ve never tried it so I’m definitely intrigued. I’m mostly just using Face Halos to remove my makeup or the Emma Hardie cleansing balm so having a travel pot is going to be useful.
Clinique Pep-Start Double Bubble Purifying Mask – 12ml
This is a pink gel-like formula that I’ve tried out once so far. It’s quite a nice refreshing prepping type mask that you could use before makeup but it does feel like a luxury item rather than an essential. Nice to try it out though!
Clinique High Impact Mascara – 4ml
I’ve had a mini of this mascara before and it’s a good all-rounder but nothing special. I do like having mini mascaras for travel though so at least it won’t go to waste.
Clinique Quickliner in Really Black – Full Size
This is the only product I was disappointed to see, just on the basis that I already have enough black eyeliner to keep me looking like a panda for the next decade and I haven’t found that highend liners typically perform any better than drugstore variants. It might be nice to try for comparison posts though.
Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Super Strawberry – Full Size
This isn’t something I would buy myself as I don’t think they’re worth the money but it’s a nice everyday lip option. I really like lip crayons and the sheer colour and balmy texture make this a great choice for quick everyday looks.
Overall, I think this box is well worth the £35 I paid for it, even if a couple of the products turn out to be misses.
What do you think to this box? x
