Despiting having lots of products on their last legs, September was a slow month for empties and the things I have finished off are a bit more boring than usual!
Makeup
Maybelline Brow Satin
This eyebrow pencil is my baby and one that just works for me. It’s the perfect sized nib, the perfect colour and it just does the job!
Repurchase? Yes when I’ve got through some brow products
e.l.f Under Eye Primer
This was nice and hydrating on my under eyes but I don’t think it did anything more amazing than a normal primer does and it was just an extra step in my makeup routine.
Repurchase? No
Skincare
Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask Sample
Samples don’t usually do much to convince me a product is worth purchasing from one use but I was really impressed by this and I would consider the pricey full-size pot when I spot it on offer.
Repurchase? Maybe if I get it cheap enough
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
I really liked this cleanser, but I remember I also enjoyed the Superdrug own brand version and I have one from Primark to test out so I’m not convinced it’s worth the money.
Repurchase? Probably not but would use again
Superdrug Vitamin E Eye Cream
This is a great budget eye cream. It doesn’t do anything amazing for fine lines but it’s hydrating and refreshing on the eye.
Repurchase? Maybe
Garnier Oil Infused Micellar Water
I loved this when I first started using it and then I feel like my hormonal breakout battle started and this was used less and less frequently.
Repurchase? Maybe, I want to try the blue-cap version too
L’Oreal Pure Clay Blemish Rescue Mask
I feel like this helped with the appearance of blemishes but then I seemed to end up with more spots after using it so I would be put off trying it again.
Repurchase? Probably not
The Body Shop Seaweed Clay Mask
I remember really loving this the first time I tried it and then the results became less noticeable but it definitely works to declog my skin and minimise oiliness.
Repurchase? Maybe when I’ve got through some other masks
Bath & Body
Dove Body Wash
It’s been years since I used Dove but this appeared in a Superdrug order as either a mistake or a free gift so I happily gave it a go. Probably not something I’d rush out to repurchase but it did the job, smelt good and left me feeling clean.
Repurchase? I have too many body washes to get through but would use again
Sanctuary Foaming Bath Soak
I snagged this from my mum who doesn’t even have a bath. It was a cute mini bottle and felt luxurious but nothing more amazing than a cheap bubble bath.
Repurchase? No
Wilko Fruits Strawberry and Pomegranate Body Scrub
I really ought to look into Wilkinson’s own brand stuff more because I’ve really enjoyed what I have tried. This scrub smells incredible and worked really well for me. Maybe not the best I’ve ever used but certainly not the worst and so cheap!
Repurchase? Yes
Jennifer Lopez Live Luxe Perfume
One of my all-time favourite fragrances that is sadly not readily available without a bit of internet browsing.
Repurchase? Yes
Gucci Rush 2
A more recently discovered fave fragrance that I seemed to get through really quickly!
Repurchase? I had one bought for my birthday so no need to yet!
Haircare
Lee Strafford Coco Loco Light Serum Spray
I appreciate the Coco Loco range because it smells incredible even if it isn’t always obvious what the product is doing! This was that type of product- felt nice in my hair but not really a necessity.
Repurchase? Maybe if I see it on offer again
Sheet Masks & Consumables
Skinfood sheet masks x3
I’ve grouped these together but they are all decent masks individually. The one I liked the most out of these was probably the Carrot variety which had the most noticeable effects in brightening my skin. I got a rash on my chest after using the bee venom one which is what happens when I’m allergic to something so I do suspect I might have had a mild reaction to it.
Repurchase? I have loads of these to get through but I will take note of my favourites next time I do a YesStyle haul
K-Pop Bubble Sheet Mask
This is also by a Korean brand but I picked it up in Primark for a skin boost while I was away in York last week. It was fun to use- I love bubble masks but any effects I did notice had promptly disappeared the following day.
Repurchase? Nah
Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser
I bought this after a cheaper Revolution version changed my brush-cleaning life to see if it performed any better. I would say the packaging is slightly better quality and it comes with a blush cleaning rubber pad which I’ve kept but it’s much smaller and way more expensive than the Revolution one and does exactly the same job.
Repurchase? No but would use again
Lacura Cotton Pads
Just basic cheap cotton pads I’ve mentioned plenty of times before!
Repurchase? Yes
PS…Oval Cosmetic Pads
These are the larger variety of cotton pads I tend to buy for removing heavier makeup. Another staple!
Repurchase? Yes
PS…Pollution Protection Wipes
I’ve tried several of the Primark wipes, mostly for wiping swatches and cleaning up makeup etc. so I’ve not noticed any big differences between the varieties but they’re cheap enough and do the job.
Repurchase? Yes
Fab products on here, I use a lot of these and I’m always upset when I’m running low! I say buy more! Always
