Makeup Phantom Mask Halloween Look

So this wasn’t originally planned as a Halloween look but I sat down with the intention of doing some sort of half and half look and after successfully doing an ‘Instagram brow’ for the first time ever, I thought it would be cool to make it look like I was wearing a makeup mask. A quick search for inspiration turned up a recent NikkieTutorials video  where she does a really similar thing much better so definitely go check that out if you like the idea!

Products used:

Brows: Freedom Duo Brow Powder, Essence Make me Brow

Eyes: Essence I Heart Colour Intensifying Base, Coloured Raine Queen of Hearts palette, Makeup Up Geek Frappe, ColourPop Pebbles, ColourPop Yes Please palette, Collection Glam Crystals Liner, Clinique Lash Primer, L’Oreal Paradise Mascara

I have that CP and CR palette depotted together with some Makeup Geek singles which is why I used them all together like this. I started with the shade Princess as a base over my primer and then I used Duchess mixed with Frappe in my crease and then Big Cocktails from the CP palette.

I used my eye primer again to cut the crease and patted Royal Highness over the lid. In the crease, I added a line of Collection glitter liner and finished with mascara and the shade Pebbles from ColourPop on my lower lash line.

Face: Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation shade 6.5, Charlotte Tilbury the Magic Foundation shade 3, Becca Hydra Mist Powder, Kiko Gold Waves Bronzer, Tarte Blush Bikini Bottoms, Doll Beauty Highlight Shine Bright

Next, I traced the shape of the mask with the NYX Wonder Pencil and filled the shape in with makeup as I normally would. I first used the Revolution foundation which is too light for me as I thought it would make it more mask-like but I didn’t like it so I topped it up with the CT foundation which is my shade. and set with Becca powder.

I did my bronzer, blush and highlight as normal and just cleaned up the edges of the mask with a makeup wipe.

Lips: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Chianti

I finished the mask with the darkest shade from my NYX Contour Kit and then buffed out the edges with the lightest powder shade.

I don’t think it’s the most Halloween-y look out there but I quite like the half and half effect- a bit like Nikkie’s famous Power of Makeup video!
