Friday Faves: Liquid Lipsticks

I go through phases with liquid lipsticks- sometimes I love them and other times I don’t use them at all, but I still have favourites in my collection so here is my pick of the best liquid lipstick formulas on the market.

Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink

I only have one shade of  this so far but I’d like to have more as it’s probably the best formula I’ve tried for longevity and it has a good colour selection too.

L’Oreal Le Chocolats Ultra Matte

I did a blog comparing this to the Maybelline formula as the shades I have are almost identical. This is another really impressive and long-lasting formula but I think the whole chocolate-themed shade range is a bit weird and I’d like to see them add some more shades that are more wearable for everyone.

ColourPop Ultra Satin

Having recently fallen out of love with super matte lips, including ColourPop’s alternative ultra matte formula, I’m glad I still have these in my life. Ultra satin lips may not last as long as their ultra matte counterparts but for me, they look nicer and feel way more comfortable.

Stila Stay All Day

The first liquid lipstick I discovered that truly did stay all day, or at least the first one that that really impressed me with its staying power. I’ve decluttered a few shades from the set I had as they didn’t all suit me but I still adore the shade Beso Shimmer most, especially over the festive period.

NYX Lip Lingerie

I couldn’t do a post on liquid lipsticks and not mention a NYX product. I feel like they lead the drugstore when it comes to lipsticks and I could have mentioned a few of their formulas but I think the Lip Lingerie is my personal favourite.

Ofra Long Lasting

I have two of these so far- one in the old packaging and one in the new. They’re not as long lasting as some of the other lipsticks I’ve mentioned but they feel super comfortable and the finish is great.
