Pixi Glow Mist Review

It’s not easy to write an in-depth review of a setting spray, but I had to write this after my previous review of the Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist wasn’t all that favourable. My only issue with that product was that the spray nozzle didn’t seem to work and it blasted spray all over my face rather than misting. When Boots had an offer on, I ended up getting the Pixi Glow Mist for free so I thought why not try it and see if I had the same issues as I did with the original spray.

Packaging

Like all Pixi face mists, this comes in a slim clear spray bottle with gold lettering and the usual Pixi mint green lid. I really love the colour scheme the brand uses and I think the packaging is so sleek and simple.

Price

This retails for £16 in the UK for 80ml of product. While not quite on par with highend pricing, Pixi is general is not the most affordable brand out there. I personally would only pay £16 for a setting spray if I was super impressed and convinced that it did something more than the cheaper alternatives.

Application

I’m pleased to confirm that I don’t have the same issues with this spray as I did with the original and the mister on this is actually really nice and fine. You use this mist by shaking it up first to mix the oil and liquid parts together. I have forgotten to do this part before and I ended up with a slightly sticky face but it didn’t ruin my makeup or anything.

Effect

If you’re looking for super hydrating mist, this isn’t that. But it does set my makeup nicely and gives me that subtle summer glow. It kind of makes me look glowy whilst also keeping my makeup matte if that makes sense?

Overall, I’m really enjoying using the Pixi Glow Mist. I feel bad for criticising the original and can only assume I had a faulty one. I’m not sure if I would pay £16 for it but I will look out for offers.

Thanks for reading!
