LASplash Wickedly Divine Matte Liquid Lipstick Evil Queen Review

I’ve always been intrigued by LASplash but haven’t tried anything from the brand until now. As far as I know, their products are only available on Beauty Bay in the UK and I haven’t really heard much about them.

I’m not the biggest lover of liquid lipsticks but I love the concept of the Wickedly Divine lipsticks and decided to pick up the shade Evil Queen because I’m a fan of Once Upon a Time and deep pink lipsticks.

Packaging

The packaging of this liquid lipstick is so extra and I love it. The plastic tube is black and clear on the end so you can see the shade and the jewel-topped lid is so pretty and wand shaped. It does feel kind of cheap plastic like when you hold it but it looks beautiful.

Price

This retails for £9.50 in the UK for 3ml of product and is available from Beauty Bay. The price is on par with the top end of drugstore pricing. I did pick it up even cheaper on sale so I would consider this affordable but 3ml isn’t a lot of product really.

Application

This lipstick has a curved doe foot applicator with a dip in the middle. The application and formula really reminds me of the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink lipsticks– they even smell the same! When first applied, this feels very drying on the lips but I think that might be because I haven’t worn a matte lipstick in so long. Once dried down, it feels comfortable and is transfer proof.

Wear

This is a fully matte and transfer proof lipstick so it has an impressive wear time, only fading on me after eating something oily or greasy. I’m pleased to report that it’s really easy to remove too despite its long-wearing formula.

Shade

The shade I have is Evil Queen, a deep, dark pink that is similar to Ofra Santa Ana or ColourPop Lyin King but a little more pink. I didn’t realise how much of a me shade it is so I should maybe have tried a more unique colour but at least I know I will wear this because about 80% of my lipstick collection is a variant of this mauvey pink shade.

Overall, I didn’t really need this lipstick and it reminds me a lot of the Maybelline Superstay formula which is better value for money but I’m glad I got to try it and it looks stunning on my dressing table!
