Ten Empties #11

With another load of ten empties already done and waiting to be photographed, I thought it was about time I got the tenth instalment of my current empties series up. I seem to be playing catch up with these all the time but anyway, on to what I used up and what my thoughts are.

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow in Smoldering Satin

Such a stunning glitter for the eyes and one I’ve definitely had my use out of, although I do feel like there is a bit more product left that I can’t quite get to. This stuff is incredible for turning neutral eyeshadow into a glitter party look instantly, but sadly that glitter does end up all over my face (which I’ve heard is just this particular shade).

Repurchase? Maybe another shade but the drugstore do some killer alternatives now

Cover FX Shimmer Veil in Moon Stone

Another liquid eyeshadow is this more everyday option from Cover FX. I loved this for quick looks and this coppery rose gold shade is one of my faves.

Repurchase? If on offer, yes

Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Black Eyeliner

Winger liner isn’t my thing but I used it a lot more for Instagram looks than what I ever would day to day. This is a felt-tip style brush and I got on with it okay but I don’t think it’s the best out there. It’s affordable and lasted really well without drying up though!

Repurchase? Probably not

I Heart Revolution Fixing Spray Peaches & Cream

I love these fixing sprays for melting powder products into my face. They are quite alcohol-heavy in the ingredients list so maybe not something I’ll use as often in the winter but I loved this scent and I think this is a great fixing spray to have in my collection.

Repurchase? Already repurchased a different scent

Skincare

Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash

This 350ml bottle lasted forever and I really feel like it helped clear up my skin. I have tons of cleansers and facial washes to get through but this is one I would probably go back to.

Repurchase? Yes

PS…Bi-Phase Eye Makeup Remover

I forget why I picked up this mini after previously hating Primark eye makeup remover but this is the vitamin E and organic rose version and I have to say I like it far better than the one I had that came in a blue bottle. This stuff seems more gentle and gets rid of eye makeup easily without disturbing my contact lenses. A real contender to replace the fancy Lancome stuff I love!

Repurchase? Already have the full size

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask

This is from a set of PTR minis I bought last year. Some masks are better for my particular skin than others and this one didn’t do anything spectacular but it was really soothing and I enjoyed using.

Repurchase? Probably not full size but I would use in a set again

Bath & Body

Avon Skin So Soft Dry Oil Body Spray

This is the argan version but I have the original now and can’t say there’s much difference. I like body oils, especially sprays because they’re quick and convenient and I loved a quick spritz of this on my legs before I went anywhere with bare legs.

Repurchase? Already have the normal version

Lancome La Vie Est Belle

I used this up so quickly but it was only the 30ml version. I love this perfume so much and hate how pricey it is!

Repurchase? Hoping I’ll get a bottle for Christmas!

PS…Round Cosmetic Pads

I’m trying to use fewer cotton pads but these are the ones I go for when I do buy them. Affordable and do the job!

Repurchase? Yes

Haircare

Neutrogena T-Gel 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner

I’m sad to report this bottle says new formula on it and it was terrible. I don’t usually use the 2-in-1 so it could be that but this just didn’t work for my flaky scalp like it usually does.

Repurchase? I bought the normal version again but not this one, nope

Phillip Kingsley Flaky/Itchy Scalp Shampoo

This was too mini to form a full opinion since I only got a couple of uses out of it. It was nice but it didn’t cure my scalp issues, or at least this sample size didn’t.

Repurchase? No

As much as I love collecting my rubbish and giving you my opinions, I’m finding myself less and less interested in writing them up. Even with only ten at a time, I get through things so fast! When I was doing them monthly, I had filmed a couple for YouTube but I’m not sure if people still like this sort of content. What do you think?
