July Empties 2020

How is so late in August already? I didn’t even realise that I’d missed my usual monthly empties post so here it is! Keep reading to find out what products I used up and what I would repurchase.

Skincare

Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleanser

I loved using this gel cleanser but I’m not sure if it was the best for my skin type or not. I generally used it as an everyday type cleanser to wash my face before bed. It did remove makeup but it wasn’t the best at that.

Repurchase? Maybe

Super Facialist Vitamin C Cleansing Oil

I never thought I’d get on with a cleansing oil but this one just did the job for me. I loved using it as first cleanse to remove makeup. I also picked it up for a fiver in TK Maxx so it was a bargain!

Repurchase? Already have

Peter Thomas Roth Cloud Cream

I love PTR and this mini moisturiser is the gel type that I usually like. I do think there are more affordable versions of this on the market but I liked using and I have a full size already from a set.

Repurchase? Already have one to use

Revolution Salicylic Acid

I’ve put this in skincare but technically I ended up using most of it on my hair. For some reason, I didn’t get on with this salicylic acid as much as the one from The Ordinary or maybe my skin has just changed. I did use it on my scalp though in an attempt to help with the flakiness I suffer from.

Repurchase? Nope

Face Masks

Absolute Care 24 Karat Gold Mask

I’m not sure what this brand is but I found it cheap in TK Maxx. I guess it’s meant to be a dupe of the Peter Thomas Roth one but I can’t really remember if it did anything for my skin.

Repurchase? No

Soap & Glory Radiance Mask

I’ve used this sheet mask before and I think they’re decent if used as a ‘party mask’ to perk your skin up before a night out or something but they’re very overpriced IMO.

Repurchase? No

Makeup

Milk Kush Mascara

I’m declaring this mini to be empty now because it had dried up a lot. I did get a lot of use out of this and I think it’s a great mascara but it just didn’t wow me enough for me to consider spending the money.

Repurchase? No

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Plucker XL Plumping Gloss

This was one of the first plumping lip glosses I really enjoyed. It was clear so easy to wear with anything and had a decent plumping effect. I’m not a big fan of the tube packaging and I have other glosses I prefer now but it was a good find.

Repurchase? Maybe

PS…Glow Spray

You can’t tell from the packaging but this spray is similar to the Iconic London glow sprays in that it has a shimmer pigment to it when you shake it up. The mister on this is crap so I had to put it in another bottle but the spray is okay if you like this kind of glow.

Repurchase? No

Benefit Porefessional

Finally this mini primer is gone! I’ve had this for a good three years now and just don’t love silicone primers anymore. This does work if you like that pore-filling, mattifying base but I much prefer the hydrating version of this.

Repurchase? No

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Budapest

Remember when everyone loved the soft matte lip creams? I’ve had this one for a while now and it lived most of its life in various handbags. It’s a nice deep burgundy colour but I have formulas I prefer to this now.

Repurchase? No

Avon Glimmerstick Eyeliner in Black Brown

I rarely wear eyeliner these days but I like to have one on hand for tightlining and this did the job.

Repurchase? Yes

Haircare

Revlon Uniq One Treatment

This is all-in-one hair treatment product that comes in a spray bottle but has more of a moose kind of texture. I mostly used this for frizz control but it supposedly has other benefits like heat protection if you’re into haircare.

Repurchase? Maybe

Neutrogena T-Gel

This is just my medicated shampoo for my scalp. Very pricey but nothing else works!

Bath & Body

Radox Muscle Bath Salts

So if you watch missbudgetbeauty on YouTube you’ll know the significance of this! At this point, the woman could influence me to buy bottled fresh air. So I don’t suffer with aches and pains much but these do work much better for me than similar bubble bath products so worth having.

Repurchase? Yes

Sanctuary Spa Body Wash

Sanctuary products are always nice to get in Christmas giftsets but I would never purchase them for myself. I do like this body wash but I wouldn’t rush out to get it again.

Repurchase? No
