No7 Skin Illuminator Review

Liquid highlighters and illuminators aren’t something I typically go for but I picked this one from No7 up when I needed to select a freebie on a Boots 3 for 2 offer. Read my No7 Skin Illuminator review to see what I thought.

Packaging

The No7 Skin Illuminator comes in a squeezy tube packaging with a screw-top lid. It’s pretty functional and simple and I love the pearly colour of the tube but I do find I sometimes squeeze out too much product.

Price

This liquid illuminator retails for £12.50 in the UK for 30ml and is available from Boots. I know that you can get No7 in the US and other parts of the world but I’m unsure about retailers. I would consider No7 a mid-priced brand, a little pricier than most drugstore options but I think they generally have an older target market.

Shade

On the Boots website there is only one shade available which is a pearly champagne colour. This is great for light to medium skin but I’m not sure if it would suit deeper skintones so I hope No7 release more shades.

Application

I find this applies best like a liquid highlight dabbed onto the cheekbones with fingers. This is a sheer glow type of product so it doesn’t look overly glittery or sparkly and just gives a natural glow to the skin without looking oily. On me, this doesn’t emphasise texture at all so I think it might also work well for mature skin. I always think of No7 as a brand targeted at an older audience so I think this makes sense.

Wear

Because this is quite a subtle glow, I don’t really notice it fading on my skin like I do with more shimmery products and it still looks quite natural at the end of the day. If I go in with a tiny bit of this and then top with power highlight, I find it helps that to last longer overall too.

So while the No7 Skin Illuminator isn’t something I would normally be interested in, I am enjoying using this. I’ve been getting more into subtle glow products over intense highlighters so I definitely think this has a place in my collection and is worth the money to me.
