September Empties 2020

I don’t feel like I used that much up in September but I cleared out a few products that were on their last legs. Read on to find out what I used and what I would repurchase.

Makeup

MUA Blushed Cream in Misty Rose

These cream blushes are adorable and so so cheap. I liked it best for warmer days or quick lockdown makeup when I wasn’t really doing anything.

Repurchase? Yes, I’ll probably try another shade

Catrice Slimmatic Eyebrow Pencil

I’m not a big fan of skinny brow pencils and tend to use them on the very end of my brows. This one from Catrice did the job and was a good shade for me but I just find they don’t last long.

Repurchase? Maybe

L’Oreal Shake & Glow Mist

I absolutely love this stuff. It’s a pricey drugstore mist at £9.99 RRP but it has the finest mister and is quite similar to the GlamGlow one. Really recommend if you like a fine mist and don’t want your makeup to look too flat.

Repurchase? Already have

L’Oreal Lip Oil in Hot Cerise

I think I got this as a free gift because it’s not something I would have chosen for myself. I do like the look of lip oils and this one had a nice pink tint to it but I prefer balms if I’m wearing a product like this.

Repurchase? No

Skincare

Sanctuary Spa Foaming Micellar Water

I loved the full size of this when I tried it last year but I didn’t feel the same way about this mini. It had been sitting in my travel collection for a while though with no hope of going anywhere so maybe it had just expired when I came to use it up.

Repurchase? Maybe

Filorga Time Filer Eyes

I’ve heard great things about this eye cream but I didn’t have strong feelings about this mini size. It was nice but not as good as my Bobbi Brown one.

Repurchase? No

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Bio Stem Mask

I bloody love a PTR mask. This one had a Turkish Delight sort of scent and made my look a ittle smoother and firmer but it’s not what my biggest skincare needs are right now so it’s not one I would rush out to buy again.

Repurchase? Probably not

Lancome Genifique Hydrogel Melting Mask

This is a super pricey mask I got as a free gift and saved until the right occasion but I didn’t notice anything incredible, to be honest.

Repurchase? No

Bath & Body

Radox Bath Salts

I love these if you really want a soothing muscle soak for the bath. Spoken about them loads before.

Repurchase? Yes

PS…Opal Crush EDT

I really like Primark perfumes. They’re so cheap and ideal for daytime use as the scents don’t stick around long so this has felt like a treat while I’ve been stuck at home.

Repurchase? Yes

Sanctuary Spa Luxury Bath Float

Nice indulgent bath time product but didn’t work any better for me than a regular bubble bath and I hate the packaging of this mini as it was super hard to get product out.

Repurchase? No

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Back Spray

I’ve had this for a while as I went through a period of getting spots on my back and shoulders that hasn’t been a problem recently. Would recommend this if you do suffer with body acne but no longer needed for me.

Repurchase? Maybe if I needed to again

Soap & Glory Clean On Me Creamy Shower Gel

I’ve had the full size of this shower gel before and I like it. I wouldn’t go out of my way to pick this up again but nice scent and works well, would use again.

Repurchase? Probably not

By Nature Restore Moisturising Bath Milk Creme

This is just one from a giftset. I like adding extra things to my bath but I didn’t really notice what this did and I went through it really quickly.

Haircare

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment

I think I got this in a subscription box or as a free gift. I’m still not sure what the 5 in 1 benefits are but it’s a decent styling cream if you like this sort of thing, it just wasn’t really the best for my hair type.

Repurchase? No

Pantene Gold Series Repairing Mask

I love a hair mask and this one had a lovely sherbet-like scent that was very sweet. I felt this helped with defining my curls and looking healthy but it wasn’t any more special than cheaper products.

Repurchase? Maybe

Superdrug Colour Conditioner

I’m never sure about including this but it’s just the conditioner that came with my hair dye. Does the job and I do like Superdrug hair dyes.

Consumables & misc

Boots Cotton Pads

I use a lot less cotton wool than I used to and these ones are fine but I’d probably pick up the cheaper ones from Primark next time I need to buy some.

Barry M Molten Metals Nail Paint in Copper Mine

This is a stunning copper shade but I’ve had it a long time now and it was time for it to go.

Rimmel Clear Shine Polish

This is the clear top coat I’ve been using for a while but it’s pretty much dried up now.

Recycle count: I managed to recycle 3 things here
