Advent calendars seem to be everywhere even earlier than usual this year and I’ve been on the lookout for one to treat myself. There’s plenty to choose from but I haven’t been wowed by any I’ve seen. So when I heard about the Look Fantastic Beauty Chest featuring 11 full size highend products at a price to rival the most popular beauty advent calendars on the market, I quickly weighed up the value and decided to treat myself.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF30 (RRP £55)

I didn’t need another face cream but I’ve wanted to try this Elemis day cream for ages and this is one of the biggest reasons I picked the beauty chest up.
Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5- 02 (RRP £41)

This is one of the original ND mini palettes where you get more product, which is why the price tag is so high. It’s not something I would have bought myself at this price point but it is a pretty neutrals palette and the packaging feels really good quality.
Kevin Aucoin The Neo-Blush (RRP £31)

This is such a pretty gradient style blush. It’s quite shimmery so would be more of a blush topper for me but it’s gorgeous and something else I would never have picked out for myself so glad to try.
Eve Lom Rescue Mask (RRP £55)

I love a good clay mask so I was really happy to find this in the beauty chest. The packaging feels super luxurious and I think I’m going to really enjoy using this.
NEOM Organics Luxury Standard Scented Candle (RRP £35)

I’m not a massive candle lover but I’m sure loads of people will love to find this in the box. I’ve never owned a Neom candle before and this one smells like lavender which is super relaxing and great for a pamper night.
Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray (RRP £25)

Funny story about this product. I already own it and I never thought it was as incredible as everyone said it was until I gave it another go when I was still deciding about this beauty box. You basically apply it before blow drying and it smooths your hair texture, meaning I can blow dry my hair straight if I want rather than using curling products. I like it a whole lot more now and I’m glad to have another.
PAI Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil (RRP £24)

I’m always wary of using oils on my skin but this is meant to deeply condition skin and restore balance to complexions for a more even and brighter appearance which sounds like something I need so I’m happy to give this a try.
Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Cell Repair Night Oil (RRP £38)

Another skincare oil and again not something I was hugely excited about but the bottle looks really pretty and this is meant to protect skin from environmental strains as well as brightening so I’ll definitely give this a go.
ESPA Optimal Skin ProCleanser (RRP £32)

I’ve never used anything from ESPA before but cleansers are always useful and this is a multi-use enzyme product, meaning it can also be used as a mild exfoliant and mask. Like everything in this beauty chest, this feels really high quality and the packaging is stunning.
Iconic London Plumping Lip Gloss in Nearly Nude (RRP £19)

I’ve heard good things about these lip glosses but I’ve never been intrigued enough to pick one up for myself. Despite not being the most excited about this, I already love it. The shade is a perfect nearly nude, it’s not too sticky and I love the feel of the plumping effect. I can see myself using this a lot.
Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream (RRP £23)

I love Origins but I don’t tend to go for brightening eye creams because I feel like I need something to hydrate and tighten fine lines. I already have a mini of this product so I decided to give that a go first and have to agree that it’s super refreshing and brightening on my under eyes. I think I’ll love using this on a morning for that brightened, awake look.
I love this beauty chest! It’s pricey at £100 (or £85 if you subscribe to their beauty box) but you get a great selection of full size highend products and it really feels like a touch of luxury. If you’re like me and struggling to find an advent calendar that’s worth the money, I recommend going for something like this instead.
