November Empties 2020

I can’t believe how late in December it is and I haven’t got this post up yet. To be honest, I’ve had it written for ages but I hadn’t taken the photos.

Makeup

PS…Fake it Mascara

I’ve never liked Primark mascaras before but this is the best one I’ve tried. It gives my lashes a fluttery, false lash effect whilst still looking natural and served as a great everyday option, especially since I haven’t really been leaving the house. Amazing value for £2.50!

Barry M Holographic Eyeshadow Topper in Supernova

I did a review of the Holographic Eyeshadow Toppers here. They’re really pretty and good quality for the price. They do dry out quick- like all liquid shadows really but there’s not too much product in here so you can use them up.

Repurchase? Maybe when I’ve got through some more

Tarte Shape Tape

I’ve had this for ages and it’s been used as an eye base mostly because the shade is too light for my skintone but I found it too heavy for my under eyes. This is super high coverage so I get why people like it but there’re concealers I prefer that are easier to get in the UK.

Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturiser

I really wanted to like this product since I love a light coverage these days but I felt like it made my face look sticky and it just wasn’t any better than any other brand that I can get more easily in the UK.

Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Volume II

I bought the full size after trying this sample even though I have enough mascara to get me through the next decade. This is a dramatic, clumpy lash mascara on me, something like Lancome Monsieur Big.

Nude by Nature Sheer Light Illuminator

I’m not sure where I got this but it’s not something I would have bought myself. If I’m going to use a liquid illuminator, I want it to be a sheer glow but this one was a touch too glittery for me.

Skincare

Lancome Rose Sugar Scrub

As much as I adored this face scrub, it’s so similar to the L’Oreal ones that I just don’t think its worth it. It’s lovely though!

Ren Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic

I love the pump packaging on this but I have a toner from Primark with the same packaging. The AHA in this is lactic acid I believe which might work better for you than glycolic depending on your skin. I liked it but it didn’t make a huge difference to me.

GlamGlow Gravitymud Firming Treatment

This is the limited edition Barbie version so it was bright pink and super fun to apply. The peel-off was better than some masks I’ve tried but still not perfect. It did make my skin look good but it was more like a party mask and not something with long-term effects for me.

Repurchase? Probably not

Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm

This cute mini looked more like a lip balm! I’m glad I got to try it but I’m not a big fan of cleansing balms so I would probably be more likely to use the affordable one from Primark.

Revolution Pore Refining Peel Off Mask

There is a bit of this left but the packaging is broken so I didn’t want to keep it. It has a nice peppermint smell and the peel off aspect was good but I just never used this.

Repurchase? No

La Roche Posay Circaplast Baume B5 Soothing Repairing Balm

I think I got this as a free sample with an order. I used it in the same way I use Sudacream or any soothing cream so I don’t think I really need this.

Bath & Body

Gucci Rush 2

I hate the weird boxy packaging but this perfume reminds me of holidays and I really love it.

Repurchase? Yes

Imperial Leather Moonlit Skies & White Cashmere Calming Bath Soak

I like the scent of this but the bubbles don’t last very long, or it was no more impressive than cheaper options. It’s nice though so I probably will get it again when I see it on offer.

Repurchase? Yes

Bubble T Earl Grey Bath Tea

This was from a beauty box and it’s exactly the kind of thing I like to receive but don’t buy for myself very often. It’s a nice treat but nothing incredible.

Aromatherapy Associates Lavender & Peppermint Bath & Shower Oil

Another indulgent bath product that was nice to use but you don’t really need. I do love a bath oil though and this one was super relaxing and luxurious.

Sanctuary Spa Body Scrub

I’ve used this before as Sanctuary is a Christmas giftset classic. Decent scrub, smells nice and like using it but wouldn’t rush out to buy the full size.

Ted Baker Woman Body Wash

I really liked the scent of this. It came in a giftset with a little perfume that I’m enjoying too. I feel like Ted Baker is a brand that only comes in giftsets and I wouldn’t go out of my to pick it up but I did like using this.

Misc

Rodial Snake Jelly Eye Patches

I love eye patches like these just to chill out and relax. I didn’t see any long-term effects to back up the claims but it was nice to use.

Soap & Glory Miracle Moisture Mask

I don’t have anything significant to say about this sheet mask really. Soap & Glory masks are nice for pampering but a little bit too expensive IMO
