Maybelline The Lifter Gloss launched in the UK fairly recently and I was excited to try this drugstore lipgloss out after hearing it’s meant to be a dupe for the Fenty Gloss Bomb. Specifically, the shade Moon in the Lifter Gloss is meant to dupe Fenty Fu$$y which I don’t own so that’s the shade I chose to review.

Packaging
This lipgloss has a very chunky square packaging. It looks pretty but it does take up a lot of room and I can imagine it won’t fit in some makeup storage.

Price
The Lifter Gloss retails for £8.99 in the UK which is standard for a mid-price brand like Maybelline and contains 4.8g of product.
Shade
I have the shade Moon which is a peachy nude shade with a slight gold shimmer. There are currently 9 shades available in the UK and they generally cover a variety of nudes but I believe there are some other shades and exclusives to specific stores.

Application
The large doe foot makes for an easy application and gives enough product to coat my lips evenly. The lipgloss feels very hydrating on the lips. It’s a gloss so it’s always going to be sticky but it’s not thick or gloopy and feels very comfortable to wear.

Wear
As with all lipglosses, this is not a product designed to last but I definitely feel like I have glosses that last longer on the lips. I can only get about an hour or two out of this before it’s gone completely. Because it’s so hydrating, it does leave my lips feeling moisturised after it’s worn off like a lip treatment.
The shades of these glosses are so pretty 😍 I actually love the packaging but i can imagine how it can be annoying to store

I like the look of it better than a standard tube but it’s very chunky

I have this shade too! I’m not sure it’s my thing and it really annoys me how quickly it rubs off!
