Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer Review

When Charlotte Tilbury first launched these bronzers, I wasn’t really interested but since trying and loving the Hollywood Superstar Glow Highlighter, I decided to give the Airbrush Bronzer a go.

Packaging

Like the highlighter, the airbrush bronzer comes in a large, luxurious oval compact but in gold rather than silver. Inside, you get a mirror and a removable pan of product. Refills are available for this product which is something I’m really excited to see more brands do.

Price

The Charlotte Tilbury bronzer retails for £39 in the UK for 16g of product. Obviously with Charlotte Tilbury, you’re paying for the luxury experience but 16g is a good amount as a lot of bronzers on the market are around 6-10g.

Application

I have the second shade of the four available which is the shade medium. If you have a deeper skintone than me, I’d definitely recommend going for the darker shade as medium is still quite light on me. It is the sort of product that can be built up though and gives that subtle bronzed look which I think is very much the Charlotte Tilbury aesthetic.

This product is called the airbrush bronzer like her airbrush setting power and I would agree that this bronzer has a very similar smooth, blindable texture and applies easily without looking muddy or patchy. There is a bit of a powder kickup in the pan but I can forgive that.

Wear

On me, this bronzer lasts around 7 hours before starting to fade. Because it is a subtle bronzer, it fades very naturally and doesn’t leave me looking patchy. I also find it very easy to touch up and reapply this product if that’s something you don’t mind doing.

Overall, I don’t think you need this bronzer over cheaper options on the market but if you have the budget and want to treat yourself, I do really recommend it.

Pros

  • Smooth texture and easily buildable
  • Refillable compact

Cons

  • Not the best shade selection
  • Pricey
