Cult Beauty 10th Birthday Goody Bag Haul

Nothing draws me in like a free gift offer, and the goody bag Cult Beauty was giving away to celebrate their 10th birthday was filled with unmissable products. It did come with a £170 qualifying spend but I took that as an opportunity to treat myself to some highend bits since my collection is mostly drugstore.

What I bought

Benefit Gimme Brow (£20.50)

CB 10

Nothing has me parting with my money faster than the offer of a free gift, and now holding this tiny £20 brow gel in my hand I’m really hoping it’s good. Like I hope it’s 10 times better than the £2.50 Essence one…

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% (£5.80)

CB 12

This is something I’ve wanted to try for a while now as a cheaper alternative to some of the best-loved chemical exfoliators so it felt like the right time to purchase!

Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Blush (£25)

CB 16

I realised that I don’t own any highend blushes so of course I didn’t need any more convincing before this ended up in my basket. I think the packaging is adorable and often accounts for the higher pricetag but hopefully I’ll like the product too.

Too Faced Natural Face Palette (£35)

CB 17

I didn’t think this was too bad value for money and a good way to try out different Too Faced face products with two bronzers, two blushers and two highlighters.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Quartz (£32)

CB 15

I love my Becca highlights but this is definitely something I didn’t need. My highlight collection is verging on out of control at the moment but hopefully this will still get some use.

ZOEVA Luxe Highlight Brush (£12.99)

CB 13

Originally, I wanted to get a few more Zoeva brushes but they don’t excite me as much as makeup does so I ended up swapping them out in my basket. I do like this on first impressions though so I’ll probably pick up some more at some point.

Touch in Sol Metallist Shadow Liquid Foil & Glitter Duo in Margaret (£20)

CB 11

I have a mini of this in another shade and the foiled glitter is incredible for instant glam looks. This looks a lot more rose gold online and the glitter shade is beautiful but the liquid shadow colour looks more red to me and is quite similar to a ColourPop shade I already have so that’s a shame.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Matte Lipstick Set Nudes (£22)

CB 14

I don’t like investing in a pricy highend lipstick to find I don’t like the shade or formula so I love a mini set like this. The packaging is gorgeous and the shades all look wearable.

The goody bag

And now onto the best bit….the free stuff I got!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Sun Dipped (RRP £41)

CB 03

I’ve never tried an ABH glow kit before so I’m quite excited about this. It does look like it might be too dark for me but I think I’ll be able to make it work. The palette itself feels very sturdy and high quality and I love that the pans are magnetic.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter (RRP £32)

CB 02

I already have a mini of this on the go so I already know I’m a fan. It’s probably not something I would have repurchased for myself without a hefty discount so I’m glad to be able to have this for when I run out.

Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist (RRP £50)

CB 06

This isn’t a product I’ve heard of before but I usually love a good mist so I’m excited to try it. I’m not entirely sure if it’s meant to be used like a spray toner or a setting spray but eager to try it.

Pixi Glow Tonic (RRP £18)

This product is the reason I ended up on Cult Beauty in the first place. I was considering ordering the mini set they do to try it out but decided to fill my basket with makeup instead when I saw I could get the full size of this for free.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm (RRP £30)

CB 08

I’ve heard good things about this product but it’s never been something I wanted to try enough to buy it myself. It does seem to appear in a lot of beauty boxes etc. so I’m surprised I’ve never tried it before.

Beauty Blender Nude (RRP £17)

CB 07

I love my original Beauty Blender so I probably will keep this as backup but they are pricey for what they are so I don’t think I would continue to purchase.

ZOEVA Cat Eye Pen (RRP £6.99)

CB 01

I like Zoeva but I’m not a big liquid liner fan so I might end up putting this in a giveaway.

Huda Beauty Mauve Obsession Palette (RRP £25)

CB 04

Another product I’ve been keen to try but would probably never have bought for myself. Even after hearing how small these palettes are, I wasn’t quite prepared for its tiny size but I think it’s really cute and the shades are my kind of thing.

Lime Crime Matte Velvetines in Red Velvet (RRP £18)

CB 09

I got a Lime Crime lipstick in a Cult Beauty goody bag before and I wasn’t keen on the drying formula so I’m not sure yet if I’ll keep this, though the shade does look beautiful.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% (RRP £5.90)

CB 05

I wasn’t too excited about this, just because I bought the lactic acid which is the one I really wanted to try. I have a drawer full of skincare to use up so I’m not sure if I’ll get round to trying this or if it’ll just be something for the giveaway pile.

Sorry this was such a long, photo-heavy post but I wanted to show you everything! I think £170 is a lot to spend on products that I didn’t really need but I’m really happy with the free goodies and I’m glad I’ve got some more highend pieces to try out too.

What do you think to the 10th birthday goody bag? x

  1. Wow that’s an amazing amount of free stuff – high quality products too, which isn’t always the case for ‘free’ stuff. Very interesting!

  2. £170 is a huge amount of money to spend but that goody bag is definitely worth it you’ve got SO many products to try out there and I look forward to hearing some reviews on them!
